COLOMBO (Citizen) - Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has admitted that the state of national security had deteriorated by the time of the Easter attack. This admission was made during his testification at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry probing the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.
He added that the government in power at the time should have taken full responsibility for the attacks. Former PM Wickremesinghe also stated that he had not been invited to meetings of the National Security Council from October 2018 until the Easter attack
Ranil Wickremesinghe, who was the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka at the time of the Easter attack, made these remarks before the Presidential Commission during his second day of testification.
