COLOMBO (Citizen) - The general public has been requested to maintain records of the places they visit. Explaining this request, police media spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana stated yesterday in a media briefing that such a record would help the government with contact tracing if they need to place an individual under quarantine.

Three wheeler and taxi drivers have also specifically been requested to maintain records of the passengers they carry. Explaining the difficulties the government is facing in determining how certain individuals have been infected with COVID-19, DIG Ajith Rohana stated that a log maintained by citizens and taxi drivers would help them in this regard.
