# ෆරාහ් රුමි ස්විට්සර්ලන්ත ජාතික කවුන්සිලයට

ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ උපන්, හෙදියක් සහ වෛද්‍ය විශේෂඥවරියක් වන ෆරාහ් රුමි, ස්විට්සර්ලන්ත ජාතික කවුන්සිලයේ දෙවන උප සභාපතිනිය ලෙස තේරී පත් වී තිබෙනවා.

ඒ අනුව ඇය ස්විට්සර්ලන්ත ෆෙඩරල් පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ පළමු ශ්‍රී ලාංකික සම්භවයක් ඇති සාමාජිකාව බවටද පත්වනවා.

සමාජ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී පක්ෂයේ සාමාජිකාවක් වන රුමි සෞඛ්‍ය, සමාජ ප්‍රතිපත්ති, විදේශ කටයුතු සහ සමාන අවස්ථා කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරන අතර ලබන වසරේ මුලදී ඇය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට පැමිණීමට නියමිත බව සඳහන් වනවා.
